Timeline

Day one of the project

One the first day of shopping for materials for this project went well because we only had to go to two stores which where The Home Depot and Joann's. One the first day that I got he materials I started the primer the wood board to help the paint stay to the board and also make it less difficult to paint onto it.

Day 2 of the project

On the next day I put on a second layer of primer. After, the primer set and I started to start the sketch out the panting, so I would be like on the poster. I was not happy with the sketch that I had done so I had to primer the board one last time then I created a sketch on a separate piece of paper so that I knew what The goal of the sketch would be.

Day 3 of the project

On this day I started to paint out the bold line that splits the two sides of the poster. This led to me to start painting the sky of the "Yes" side light blue. Later, letting it dry over night.

Day 4 of the project

On thIS day I painted the "yes" and "no" on each side of the poster and painted a second layer of paint onto the sky of the "Yes" side.

Day 5 of the project

This day of the project had the most painting yet in the project. I painted the mountain, river, sun, bear, trees, background of the "no" side, painted the steam pipes and the building that they were surrounded by. The hardest part of there project came today which was outlining all of the items that I had painted so far in black paint which took over and hour and a half.

Day 6 of the project

When I went to check on how the project looked after I got home from school I realized that I had maker the Background of the "No" side too dark making it so that you could not see the stem pipes. So I had to fix that by paining the background white then starting over and choosing a new less dark color. I was much more happy ho the second color came out than the firs and I also liked how it make everyone thing else on that side pop.

Day 7 of the project

This is the day that I never wanted to come... The day that I have to paint a second count of everything that I had already painted I spent over two hours just painting over what I had already done.

Day 8 of the project

Today is the day that I paint the question on the top over the mural... I could not decide what color to paint it so I just choose to make it purple which I feel it came out really nice.

What is the meaning of this project?

In this project I will be making a mural that will help spread the word that we can't treat the world like we are now because we will end up in a dark and factory filled world. This will be done by make a double sided mural one side showing what the world will become if we continue doing what people are doing today. On the other half of the mural it will show what the good side of the world and what we need to keep in the world. At the top of the poster there will be a question stating "What is the life you want to live?" This will show the people looking at the mural realize that we need to take care of the earth because from what we know it is the only one of a kind. I chose to do this project because I would like to study the earth later in life and what are the best ways to take care of this earth.
